the other night I was watching a show on H2 about aliens...more specifically ancient aliens...the more I thought about it, the more I felt this premise:
The aliens we know as Greys have been genetically manipulating humanity for millions of years...think about this...every grey that has been described looked exactly like every other grey...no deviation...they discover earth filled with (Neanderthal) man who are just on the cusp of becoming civilized...the Greys give N man the idea of using tools...they do...also they abduct some females and genetically mix Grey with N-man and come up with something more intelligent than N-man but no way near as intelligent as the Greys...now think of what might happen when they mix 2 of the hybrid with each other...there should be a 50% chance that the offspring will be 25% more intelligent than their parents...while the remaining 50% would be less intelligent...continue to mix the higher intelligent together over the centuries and you eventually (by periodically adding Grey DNA into the mix) should theoretically get humanity as we know it today...all over the world and extending through centuries, alleged alien abductions specifically for sexual reproductive study, have been documented...all over the world there are ancient images (on cave walls, in hieroglyphics, in Sanskrit, in the Bible, and even depictions in Aztec/Inca and other SA Indian) of aliens, airplanes/space planes, gliders, and even representations of winged people (loosely translated to mean flying people). It is not a far flung idea to think of the possibility that we (humanity) are nothing more than an experiment in genetics conducted long term by Greys...

well that didn't work so well
As it goes with many projects, this one failed to get off the ground. I could blame job searching, or some other ethereal excuse, but the pure fact is that I was not ready to commit to the project. I am thinking of doing the Nanowrimo this year (2014)...that only gives me 30 days to write a 50,000 word novel. I think I can do it...IF I can get into a rhythm and keep focused on the task. Very big IFs. I do not have the emotional distractions I had in 2011 nor is survival an issue as I am taken care of. Really the only thing holding me back from completing any writing task is me. It is time for me to get my literary big-boy-panties on and start getting into a rhythm/habit/ritual to get me ready for the project. My plan is to use this space to brainstorm my story and maybe begin to get some ideas down on paper (virtual or otherwise). by getting in the habit of writing something daily, perhaps I can find my focus and get a novel project completed.
This would be my first attempt at writing a novel though not my first experience writing. I can think of nothing but writing...from the time I get up to the time I lay down and in many cases for a couple of hours after.
If any have advice for me in preparation for Nanowrimo, please feel free to either comment here or send me an email-- xopherrei@icloud.com.
